Airlines put their profits over your safety

(WASHINGTON) — Pilots are complaining that their airline bosses, desperate to cut costs, are forcing them to fly uncomfortably low on fuel.

Don't believe it? It certainly fits within the modus operandi of airline management logic. Think about it the next time you buckle up in seat 32A.

For the full article, click to read Joan Lowy's AP article.

If you think there is even one iota of truth to it, next time you strap in to an airliner seat, remind the nearest flight attendant to tell the pilot to be sure to have more than enough fuel, it's important to you!

Enough is Enough! Time toTake Back Air Travel

The airlines are broken. Problem is, we need air travel!

I am commercial pilot, yet I do not make my living as a pilot any longer. I would not want to, given the state of the industry. My goal, with this blog, is to educate you, infuriate you and get you, the paying passenger, awake and alert to what could change, and how and why airline management does not want to see anything change at all, except they DO want you to sit down, buckle up, open your wallet and stop complaining.

Enough is enough! Things can change and will change for the better. You can help make that change happen sooner - together we can all make it happen sooner.
I am a commercial pilot yet I am not in any airline union. I make my living so far from commercial aviation that I have no stake in this game whatsoever, other than I am a passenger and I want the experience to improve. I also want to be less afraid when I fly. You may not REALLY want to know all that goes on behind the scenes!

This blog will be opened to other writers, pilots and passengers alike. We will explore, together, what it takes to make the airlines good again and fun again - remember that? Remember when air travel could be fun?

I will be your guide and champion through this experience. Who am I? I am just another passenger - a P.O.'d passenger! You can just call me Papa Oscar.
